{Cat and the Jonas family have just arrived at their hotel in Arizona. She is settling into her room when a knock comes on the door. She refolds one more shirt before opening the door to see Joe. She smiles.}CAT: (coyly) Hey, you.(Joe is rubbing his forehead. He comes into the room and sits on the bed.)CAT: You okay? (She sits behind him and starts rubbing his shoulders.) It's alright, baby. (She slides her hands down his front and kisses his neck.)JOE: Cat, stop. Last night was a mistake. I didn't know what I was doing.CAT: (She moans.) Best mistake I ever made.JOE: (Pulls away.) Cut it out! I'm serious. I thought it was all a bad dream until just now. Like I said before: I can't do this to Nick. You love him, right?CAT: And I love YOU too.JOE: So if you really loved me, you would leave me alone!CAT: Why do you keep doing this to me, Joe?JOE: I'm not doing anything! YOU'RE breaking my brother's heart, Cat! If you don't stop loving me, I'm only going to hate you. So just...stop! (He stands up and opens the door. Nick falls into the room. He was obviously listening with his ear against the door.)CAT: (holding back tears) How long have you been listening?NICK: Long enough. (He stands up and leaves the room.)CAT: Nick! (She runs out after him.) Nick, I'm sorry you heard that!NICK: So what's the truth? Do you love me at all? Like you've said?CAT: I DO love you! I meant what I said when I told you that. Every single time I said it, I meant it.NICK: SAVE IT!!!! (He starts walking away, backwards.) I don't know what to believe anymore. (He stops.) How long did you think you could keep this a secret?CAT: There was nothing to keep secret, Nick. I wasn't cheating on you. I could never do anything to hurt you! Every kiss with someone else would be murder to my own heart! (She opens the door to her suite.) OR DON'T YOU SEE THAT??? (She goes into the room and slams the door behind her.)JOE: Umm...Should I leave now?CAT: YES!!!!!!!!(Joe leaves, and Cat flops onto her bed, sobbing into the pillow. Her phone rings, so she answers it, sniffing.)CAT: Hello????: Cat? What's wrong?CAT: Who is this????: It's Michael...again. (They're friends now.)CAT: Oh. Okay. What's up?MICHAEL: I wanted to call to say congrats on the record deal.CAT: Thanks.MICHAEL: You're welcome. So what's wrong with Kitty-Cat?CAT: Nick and I are fighting again. It might be a break-up this time.MICHAEL: OH, no. What happened this time?CAT: ...I cheated on him...With Joe.MICHAEL: Isn't that his BROTHER who's FOUR YEARS older than you?CAT: (with a new wave of tears.) Yeah.MICHAEL: Oh. I"m sorry. Don't cry, please. God knows you did a lot of that since we met.CAT: It's all my fault, Michael. Nick hates me now. What am I supposed to do for the rest of our TOUR? I have to share a bus with them, and the only one who's talking to me is Kevin. MAYBE. I--MICHAEL: Cat, breathe! It's going to be okay. (He sighs.) I wish I could be there to help you. I hate when you're pissed.CAT: I wish you were here, too. I'm such a bitch. I don't think I can do this.MICHAEL: I KNOW you can. I promise. Focus on your career, THEN on Nick. He'll come to you, alright?CAT: Okay. Thanks, Michael.MICHAEL: You're welcome. Talk to you later, okay?CAT: Alright. Bye. (She hangs up the phone and collapses on the bed again. The most she can do now is rest up before rehearsal.)---{Oh, dear. I KNEW nothing good could happen. NICK, FIND A NEW GIRL!!!!! CAT, STOP BEING SUCH A WHORE!!! I can see the comments now.}
